Jacinta's Birth of a Son

ok my birth story-bit graphic all the detail lol
Alot had happened between me and my partner durning my pregnancy hence why he knocks on the window lol he had a feeling it would be that day =D
The only pre-natal stuff i did was get a date u/s at about 6wks and the 20wk u/s and the week before i had baby i had the lady who dropped the pool off check if baby was head down =) I also didnt find out the sex
i had been getting pains for about a week before and so on the friday i turned 37wks i decided to try and rub some clary sage and almond oil on my belly (a mix of herbs that can help trigger labour) on the friday i got a few pains that were about a 1 or 2 on the scale i went to bed and woke u with nothing...
So on saturday i tried some more through out the day they got to about a 2 to 4 every 20mins so i just hung out at home with my friend. i bounced on the birth/ excercise ball but went to bed and had nothing![:(]()
So Sunday i tried again lol hoping they would be stronger and last. They started of really mild and by lunch time they were still just at a 3 or 4 and so i thought hmm maybe nothing by about 5pm hey were a 5-7 on the pain scale and about every 7-10mins i thought hmm maybe i can wait a few more weeks haha! but after a bath and some sleep they were pretty much gone id have 1 every hour only about a pain of 4 go toilet and then back to bed.
at 4am DH knocks on my window and wants to come in so i opened the door and had a contraction it was still about a 4 and so i went toilet and chatted with him for about 1/2 an hour then we were going to go to bed but because i was still having a few contractions we decided to try and make things happen haha!( to much info for a sister but we did the deed) at 4:45 i decided whoa these are pretty sore! so i thought a nice shower would help make the pain go away and i could go to bed but less then 2 minutes in the shower i decided nope this wasnt good enough i had to get in the bath!
I was sitting in the bath Practising breathing through pains that were about a 5-7 and thinking gahh all this and i bet it will stop soon!
I had no idea what time it was(maybe about 5:30am) i tried to wakE DH up so he could attach the hose to the bath and fill the birthing pool i had set up abut a week ago![:)]()
but everytime i went to call out his name a contraction would come and id breathe through it and he would fall back asleep ![-_-]()

I took 3 times for me to wake him up then on the 4th i said come HERE! he came in and i said i dont care if the babies not coming today waste the water and fill the pool! i had been putting it off because i didnt want to fill it up and waste water if i wasnt going to have the baby yet
As soon as the tap was on i went to get in the pool but DS woke up![-_-]()
and so as i was trying to walk from the bathroom to the lounge where the pool was and grab towels and get ready i was having contractions eventually DH got DS and made him abottle and brang him to the lounge.
I hoped in the pool it was about 6am and ohhh my sitting on an inflated surfaces felt SOOOOO good hahah anyway DS had got in with me and i dont remeber were DH went maybe to sleep or shower or toilet??? DS was in the pool with me and his bottle and as soon as id get a contraction DS would want to hang on me or lay on me ohh not fun!
Anyway so at 6:30 i realised that his baby was coming sometime today and i decided by 12am i didnt want to call anyone tho just incase it wasnt as i had my friend over friday night saturday night and spent all sunday with her and nothing had happened but DH said i haad to so she could watch DS.
She got to my house at 7am and watched DS while i sat in the pool breathing telling her maybe by 12 and thinking to myself if this last much longer im going to the hospital then would think NO I CAN DO THIS!!!
My mum called at 7:30 and asked how i was and i said ok lol but started to cry =S and she said is it happening and i managed to get out a yes so she said shed be right over.
She got to my house at 8am and so DH left. She asked when i thought and i said 12 and she said nope 10 so i was in the pool breathing still and them getting stronger when mum finally said are you dilated?? i hadnt checked or even thought to yet lol!
i tried to check but the contractions were so close by the time i could be bothered to check it would be another contraction and i could i eventually mangaed to checked and could feel it was quite open but not sure if it was enough,
A few minutes later about 8:35 i felt my body push like it did with DS and my mum said are you dilated enough and i said i dont care i cant stop it lol. after that contraction i checked and he was half way down the canal and the water bag still hadnt poped!
Another contraction and i could feel the bag/baby right there. With the next few contractions i pushed a little and waited pushed and waited eventually i felt like it was ready to push more and i thought yep ring of fire!
I pushed some more and thought yep his head is half out![:D]()
!!! NOPE it was just the BAG!!!! then i felt his head and all over again i felt the ring of fire ![:(]()
i pushed and his head was actually half out now and i had a brief break from contractions,,,
the next contraction came and i helped guide his head out and i felt the relief when his head was out but the contraction was still going!... so i had to keep pushing out came his shoulders and as i continued to push his body started to comeout and the bag poped and he shot out haha! next i looked down and there was my baby :'D
at 8:54am i picked him up and got him breathing he made a noise but didnt scream he was alert looking around but sounded gurgly so i got him to have a good cry then offed boobie but he wasnt intrested. it was so cute when he cried DS fake cried and since then they drop the bottom lip if they hear each other crying![:)]()
This next bit shcoked me only 3minutes after having him i had another contraction and kinda pushed a bit and felt something come out i thought oh yea the bag didnt pop till last minute its probly the bag( i had read placentas can take up to 3hrs+ to come out with out the injection and even with that mine took like 10minutes) it was the placenta my birth was over finished done:D
i had a cuddle then a shower and then we just sat there and realxed![:D]()
woke DD up to come meet her little brother ![:D]()

i had a minor graze that stung when i pee'd the first few times but it healed in a few days
